St. Aubyn’s Nursery and Pre Prep students celebrated National Children’s Book Week in October.

Years 1 and 2 enjoyed listening to Tim Knapman read from his picture books and his recently released chapter book My Uncle Foulpest: Teacher Trouble.

Nursery and Reception children were enthralled by Karen Wall and Jim Helmore – an author illustrator team - and heard all about the trouble you can get into when you grow monster tomatoes – there was even a song and some role play!

After school children had the chance to browse the book fair and we sold over £1000 worth of books. Thank you to all the parents, children and staff that came along and shared their enthusiasm for reading with me.
