Assisted Places

The Governors of St. Aubyn’s are committed to broadening access to the School by offering to eligible parents/guardians means-tested financial support with the payment of school fees.

Such support is known as an assisted place and this may be awarded to a pupil entering Year 3 (7+) and above in the form of a discount of up to 100% of tuition fees payable, depending on the financial, compassionate or other pertinent circumstances of applicants.

Assisted places are open to all candidates and are available, subject to annual review, through to Year 6.

I want to thank you, all staff and governors for the incredible opportunity my daughter was given to complete her education at St. Aubyn’s from Year 3 with an assisted place.

Since arrival, she has thrived under the careful, kind and exceptional supervision of your staff who  go above and beyond to support and inspire learning. What is interesting and such a joy for me is reflecting on her school reports and her emotional health and how much she has attained and progressed since 2019.

Over the past four years her attainment has inclined to exceeding and excelling expected levels in most subjects including sports, due to the excellent quality of teaching and learning at St. Aubyn’s which presented the right amount of challenge for her to reach her potential.

As well as hugely improving her self-confidence, self-esteem, social awareness and emotional maturity, my daughter has been made to feel secure with the very clear and respectful rules and friendly ethos of the School, which is so favourably inclusive of all faiths and backgrounds.  It’s hard to explain in words the magnitude of this for me as a parent, in terms of this strong and positive change of pathway for my daughter.

Most of all though, I love the School’s values which are active, exceptional and sincere, incorporated by the extremely effective and fitting merit and sanction systems, and comprehensively interwoven into the School strategy, progressively aligning with evolving modern times.

As a result of my daughter’s experiences at St. Aubyn’s, I have a child who is happy, polite, well-educated, secure and lucky enough to be going on to another excellent establishment for her secondary education, which would not otherwise have been possible.  I honestly cannot thank you and your community enough for providing her with such a great start in life.  She knows she has to carry on working hard next year but she has had such a brilliant foundation to date, thanks to everyone at St. Aubyn’s.
