I have worked at St. Aubyn’s for ten years and I have been Deputy Head for the last four. My belief that St. Aubyn’s offers all pupils an excellent start to their education is shown in my decision to send all three of my children here. In addition to the teaching and learning that goes on every day I value greatly the extra learning that goes on outside the classroom. Trips, visitors, House events and extra-curricular activities are all aspects of wider education for which I have responsibility.
Most of these activities are detailed in our very full termly calendar, for which I also have responsibility, and are reliant on a team of dedicated staff.
As line manager to the managers of Teaching Assistants, Lunchtime Supervisors and Before & After School Club staff I am also involved in those aspects of the School that are often crucial to ensure that pupils’ experiences of School are happy ones.
I enjoy many other responsibilities, one of which is the production of the School website. I hope that you like it.
