On Friday 3rd February all Senior pupils competed in the popular annual Engineering Challenge. All House competitions are keenly contested. Pupils had been briefed a week earlier that they had to divide their House into 4 teams and that the challenge was to build 4 towers from straws. The House with the greatest combined tower height would be the victors.
With Head of Technology, Mr. Townson, away in Italy on a Comenius Project trip School House had been thoroughly prepped on techniques to win. There were rumours that he would be helping them live from Italy via SKYPE but this didn't happen.
The winners were York.
