The Senior School can be characterised by three qualities that make it a unique and special preparatory experience. Alongside high academic achievement, we strive to make sure that every student develops a strong sense of independence and responsibility as well as full participation in school life.
All students are actively encouraged to fully participate in the curricular and co-curricular life of the School. This can take the form of involvement in, amongst other things, residential trips, school councils, eco committee, clubs, Army Cadets, sports teams and the numerous performing arts events and groups.
From their first day in Seniors, all students are given personal responsibility with items like lockers and planners. In addition they are all encouraged to take up roles of responsibility for their forms, House or in one of the many clubs and activities that are run. In addition to this all Year 8’s go through our unique Young Manager's programme.
Independence is the key to a successful transition between primary and secondary education. The Senior school seeks to create individuals who are independent and fully prepared for the challenges of post 11 and 13 secondary education. This trait is nurtured through our academic and enrichment programme as well as through co-curricular opportunities.
Our Senior School excels at preparing students for the further vigours of academic studies and life. It is a supportive and friendly environment that staff and students both cherish.
